Freida Esther Hasty (Gibons, Mickens) - Born: April 19, 1930, Keystone, Keith Co, Nebraska.   Died: May 1989 in Florida Diagnosis: Liver/pancreatic Cancer.    Last know occupation: Nurse licensed thru State of California. 1960s

This is my best example of Freida's personality.  Never to do anything half way or little bits at a time... "Why make a mess for just a couple loaves of bread".    Let's make a mess, have fun and worry about what to do with it all later  is a pattern of her life and personality.   Everything she did, was done well and complete, even to cleaning up her messes.   Well, she often required help in the clean up department.   

She married Robert Gibson and they moved to Calif  in the early 1950's.    Mother of: Robert Gibson, jr. Mary Jane. David. and ? son.     

Later Married John Mickens from Pekin, Ill after she had returned to Illinois to re unite with her family and look after her Mother for a time.   She studied and became a Nurse while in California.  

Having a Birthday party.     John retired from Caterpillar and they moved to the Panhandle of Florida while raising 4 of her Grandchildren .. after their Mother abandoned them and the father( Freida's son) died.

It is my belief that they went down to visit Joe(#12 Hasty) loved being next to the ocean, decided to stay  and started a "silk screen" business.  After Freida's death, her oldest son, Robert came and moved all the children & John to Colorado where he owns a garage and gas station.
