Simpson Lineage Info

 

I'm not completely sure of how accurate this information is as I haven't been able to determine the facts contained in the information I recieved  thru my online searches and contacts from the BOSTON branch.     Much of this can be changed and added onto..so If you agree or dis-agree,, leave me a message on the GuestBook page and I will happily include it.  Remember I love to add photos, so be sure to include those if you have them...

B: April 9, 1862 in Ogle County Illinois    D: Dec 18, 1933 in Fairbury, Nebraska.

 " I do not know when this picture was taken, but will check it out soon, this is your Grandmother Hasty parents. or your Great Grandparent Simpson. "

  "Luther William Simpson, born Aril 14, 1865, at Pawnee City, nebr. and died June 27, 1946 at Fairbury, Nebr. son of Lambert and Rebecca Boston Simpson. His mother (rebecca) was born in Indiana.  He had 1 brother and 1 sister & 5 half brothers or sisters.  A farmer in around Southeast Nebraska and Northeast Kansas.  Married Mary Emmagean Whitmore at Nebraska. Date ? year?    She born in 1862 Decautuer County, Illinois..daughter of John Whitmore of Illinois.  She has 1 sister-Rose, 2 brothers-John and Eldon.   They were the parents of 3 sons and 6 daughters (Simpson)  They both are buried in Fairbury, Nebr.  Nebr Cemetery.. and they both died there."   Mary E.  Dec 1953

The three Simpson sons of Luther William Simpson and Mary Emogene Whitmore.  Formal Photos were taken generally at Special events in ones life...since "Ed Lynes" is in this one, I am thinking it must have been a wedding, perhaps His??  Will have to check some dates on this..

Arthur Earl (Luther) Simpson

 

Recent contact with Great Grand daughter, Heidi  Simpson, brought the following information on Arthur.. and happily she included photos. 

Arthur Earl Simpson was born June 19, 1886. He died Sept 30, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha. ( My father bought his headstone thus saying "Grandpa")
 
He married Mabel Clara Stevens Carter. Arthur was Mabel's second husband (her first being Orson C.Carter them having one child together Genevieve Carter (1899-1990 married to Fred Riche) Mabel was born 3-9-1884 in Boone, Iowa. She died 2-9-1949 in Omaha. She is buried in Holy selpuche Cemetery, Omaha. She turned Catholic on her death bed.
 
Arthur and Mabel had one child: William Jackson Simpson born 12-4-1911 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and died 6-6-1987 in Roach, Missouri. William's first wife was Myrtle Bertina Rundback (1912 Omaha-1978 Omaha) they were married 9-9-1933 in Papillion, NE. They had one son, my father, William Lee Simpson (1940-). William's second wife was Violet Dent (1916-1999). I know they had 3 children, one of which was Robert. Myrtle is buried in Forest Lawn, Omaha. William Jackson is buried in Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton, MO.
**My father, William Lee was real close to his Grandfather Arthur Simpson.**

Buried: 4 October, 1924 in Fairview Cemetery, Smith county, Kansas. A civil war vet with pay stubs were found in researching this elusive ancestory. And a kind "cousin" sent this photo via eMail. mboston@houston.rr.com I don't know if this is still a good eMail addy...It has been awhile since we've had contact..

His car was hit by a train.  They were married in a double wedding with Edith Elnora and Samuel  Lynes in the home of Luther and Mary Simpson on 28 Oct 1906 Lenora, Oklahoma.)

Known sister to Luther: Laura  ?  Simpson . D: 15May 1944 M:Vernon Cooper D: 26 Aug 1938.  Both are buried at Table Rock, Nebraska.  

Known half sisters:  Florence, Mabel and Cora Billings.  A half Brother: Alfred Billings.

Luther was raised by his Grandmother, Sara Jane (robinson) Boston   was B: 20 Nov 1838 and D: 9 Aug 1920.

Luther became a horse trader and traveled with his family in a covered wagon. They moved from Thayer County, Neb to Smith Conty, Kansas in Sept 1895, then to Oklahoma in Aug 1906, back to Jewell Co, Kanse in Aug 1912.  Later they moved to Red Cloud, Neb where Luther oerated a dray wagon with a team of horses for the town of Red Cloud.. The moved to Fairbury, Neb about 1927-28 where he worked for the Huston/Swartz Coal Company til a few years before his death.
